Hi!
I just joined this community. Will be touring on the Baja Peninsula (Starting from La Paz and going northbound) by late December. I would love to be informed about best routes and their availabilty of resources, and if there are hosting member along those routes. My bike is a Giant 28 for touring. My plan is not to be just touring, but to stay at some places for some time, and do local rides. I know the terrain is harsh and could carry my bike on a bus if it seems too difficult, but would like to ride the longer routes as well. All and any resources/information will be highly appreciated! BTW, this will be my first touring experience on a bike, and I hope the beginning of whole new lifestye for me! Cheers all!

Hi!
Beautiful but (as you said) risky area! There's only really one route through much of BCS. There are some appealing towns, tasty foods. Just keep riding!!!
Saludos!
For the thorns, you can use a solid tube. There are also slime products to fix punctures, and extra-thick tubes, but they can fail too.
