Kenya-South Africa

Hello!

My name is Dan, I am an American bicycle tourist planning on starting my bike trip across Africa this August or early Sept. I am planning on going from Cape Town to Cairo (although if I have time I would like to make it to Israel), and would love to have some company for the adventure. I understand we are going different directions, but I thought I would reach out and see if you would be interested in changing directions, and starting in South Africa and riding up to Kenya instead? Of course, you would be more than welcome to continue on to Egypt or Israel with me if you wanted too. 

A little bit about me....I am 32 years old, I have a college degree in Biology, and have been bike touring for over ten years. I have ridden multiple 5000km+ tours, including across the United States and through Mexico. There is really no "typical" day for me on tours, and pace isn't really an issue, I'm happy going as fast or as slow as the road/day/mood/weather calls for. Most of my tours have been solo tours, although I have met up with other cyclists on the road and enjoyed riding long, impromptu stretches with new travelers. I like to read and journal, and am trying to learn how to be a better artist and photographer. I travel on a pretty small budget, and am a big fan of wild camping, warm showers, and (even though I am a poor cook), prefer buying and cooking meals to eating out (this may change in Africa, it might be cheap enough to get away with buying more cooked meals than I have in the past, oohh I hope so:)
