Parece que probablemente 2021 o 2022, despues del virus. Y entonces, más de Suramerica! Ahora estoy en el Caribe (Guadeloupe), después de viajar en mucho del Noramerica por bici.

Looks like maybe 2021 or 2022, after the Coronavirus. Then more of South America! I am now in the Caribbean (Guadeloupe), after having cycled through much of North America.

Thanks for your message. As of now I'm thinking of starting in Güiria, Venezuela, after a ferry from Trinidad & Tobago. Not entirely sure about the ferry (I've read online that it's working, but with the situation in Venezuela it may not). Also unsure about my own plans, so that's far from certain. As for when, I'm now thinking of starting around March, April, or May 2021, depending on the Coronavirus. Again, that's uncertain. My touring style varies, I've often gone for around five days a week, camping. Now I'm taking a somewhat consistent remote job, so instead thinking of riding around two days a week, staying more often in hotels or AirBnBs.

Given that the Coronavirus remains an issue, I'm now planning to leave after May. Not sure exactly when yet, will have to see how the virus works out!
Maybe 2022? I'm now also considering alternative routes like starting in Guyana. My current notes on Venezuela & Guyana. Also open to other routes through Latin America.
It's now looking like 2022! I still don't have an exact date, but maybe summer or fall. With the situation in Venezuela remaining poor, I'm now planning to go to Guyana instead, then Suriname and French Guiana.
It's now increasingly looking like international travel is becoming practical again. Summer may seem a bit early to plan for South America given the global COVID political situation, so I'm now inclining slightly more towards Fall 2022. Venezuela still seems off, so it's looking like the Guyanas...
Did you go? I'm trying to research bike travel in Guyana (and Suriname/French Guyana afterwards). I would be there some time in early 2023.
I wound up changing my plans. The ferry from Trinidad & Tobago to Venezuela seems not to be running any more, and the situation on the ground didn't then appeal to me - e.g. unsafe and extreme poverty in Venezuela, and Guyanas too similar to what I'd just seen in the Caribbean. Instead I flew to Bogota, Colombia where I'm now preparing to travel through the Spanish and Portuguese parts of South America.
From what I read it's apparently possible to cycle through Guyana, French Guyana, and Suriname, and into/out of Brazil, with only one or two minor issues like a ferry to cross a river. The main roads and the main towns go along the northern coast. There are also some smaller roads to the south if you want to explore within the countries more.
I may wind up going eventually, but that would probably be in a few years. I wrote up some of my research, which you can see at:

Hey dude! I'm going to Venezuela next month. I backpacked over there 6 years ago. I had a nice experience, that's why I coming back. I'm also in Bogotá. Perhaps we cross paths.
How did you feel about the security of Venezuela last time you went there, and now that you're planning to go again? I'm in Bogota through May, then planning to see more of Colombia and South America. We can meet up any time.
I was always advised not to go because of the risk of being murdered, kidnapped, stolen and so on. But I did it. Obviously, I didn't try to "dar papaya". I made friends and visited some nice places in andean region (zona gocha). Unfortunately, I has to go back Colombia because I run out of money (I left the rest in Cucuta in order to prevent). After that trip, I met some bicycle travellers and backpackers who went there, We all had the same impression: poor broken country, but good experience with locals and exploring the surroundings.
