While planning a tour in Colombia´s Caribbean departments (jan/mar) I come across this announcement:

This alert can be extrapolated on the whole Caribbean coast of Colombia. About safety situation in inland parts on these departments I know nothing, but rapports made by robbed cyclists in previous years clearly suggest that the risk of hijacking is high.
This applies practically only to single cyclists. Being two or more makes a trip safe so I wonder whether there is anyone having such Colombia tour on one’s mind, and thinking of reducing the risks. Send me a message if you consider a company.
